In this tutorial I am going to show you how to create Image inside text kind of effect in Adobe Photoshop in just a few simple steps. We will be using some text with the image in order to make our image look like if it is made up of text characters. You can use these types of effects for magazine or brochure layouts or for any other designing purpose. So let’s get started.
Step1
Here, I have an image that will serve as the main foreground content in this effect. Now we need some text so, let’s create some text using Type tool (T). You can use any font family that you want
Step2
Now, here is our text layer with all the text aligned properly. I arranged some random words with different font sizes to make it look more effective. Don’t worry about the text readability as this effect concentrates on the image visibility not on the text content.
Step 3
Now, move the text layer beneath the image then select the image layer » Right click » Create Clipping Mask (Alt + Ctrl + G). This will Clip the image layer inside the text.
Step 4
You can change the color of the background layer according to the theme of your design. I am using some darker color so it will highlight the foreground content.
Step 5
You can use some smaller font size in order to add more visibility to your image. Your image will look like this (see image) with smaller font size. You can also adjust or even add your own settings (like adding some distort effect to the text) according to your need. That’s all. You have your image inside text effect ready.
I Hope you enjoyed the tutorial. Good luck
